Uraniferous structure Valentin-Javorje (Slovenia)

Abstract

The first part of the paper deals with the development of the Val Gardena Formation in the Valentin-Javorje area; it is very similar to that in Žirovski vrh. Characteristic for it are a 1.8 m thick grey limestone bed within the grey green clastites of the Brebovnica member and diabase or spilitized diabase sills in the lower third of the Hobovše member of the Val Gardena Formation. Most attention was allotted to the very complex tectonic structure of the area that represents the final stage of deformation of recumbent lower order folds.
