Abstract

Larger rock falls frequently cause additional secondary phenomena. A lot of them occured after rock fall which happened above Koseč near Kobarid. Rock fall arose from rock slide, which is even now moving with velocity of 1.2 m per month. The cinetic stroke additionally triggered larger soil landslide, which filled up the gorge of torrent Brusnik. Heavy rainfalls several debris flows triggered. The remediation on the place of events are not possible because of the huge dimensions of sliding material and heavy accessibility of sliding region. Because of this only protection measures are executed (inspection of local authorities, geological inspections, alarm system, expend of brook bed, new bridge, geodetic measuremens of movements, inclinometer measurements) and moving out the most threaten houses.
