Abstract

More and more detailed spatial data enable the scientists more precise and detailed spatial analysis’ and with that the natural hazard risk assessment. The purpose of the paper was to determine the applicability of the geologic, topologic, climatic and hydrologic data with the mentioned topic. For this purpose, the area of the central Slovenia was chosen, where 614 landslides were mapped. The influence of the spatial factors on the landslides was determined. The results showed that the most influential factor was lithology, followed by slope inclination, terrain curvature, distance from structural elements, distance from surface waters, aspect, and elevation. The critical angle of landslide occurence was determined at 9°.
