Railway tunnel Stanjevci between Murska Sobota and Hodoš in northeastern part of Slovenia passed Pleistocenne soil layers: sand with gravel, silt and clay in subhorizontal orientation. The construction problems in tunnel arised due to some parts of liquid sands and low bearing capacity of saturated contact between clay and sand layers. In article we compare geological cross-section from investigation phase with cross-section after contruction phase. We found greatest difference in orientation of layers because of discoloured weathered clay layers.
