Abstract

In the profile of Lower Triassic beds at Tehovec, southwest of Medvode, prevails dark grey, slightly marly biomicritic limestone interbedded with thinner sheets of marl. Fossil molluscs are represented by Natiria costata (Münster) and Costatoria costata (Zenker) as well as by sparse ammonite shells. Among microfossils the most frequent is foraminifer species Meandrospira pusilla (Ho). Recovered conodonts are marked by characteristic shallow water Lower Triassic elements Pachycladina, Hadrodontina and Ellisonia.
