Abstract

Contribution »Origin and chemical composition of thermal and thermomineral waters in Slovenia« written by A. Lapanje contains mistakes that give evidence of the author's confuse knowledge of chemical concepts and principles, which should be evident not just at academic but primary school level. Throughout the text, studies, results and ideas of the previous researchers are not treated, commented and cited appropriately or not cited at all, although they are documented in archieve reports and published in national and international magazines. Consequently, a reader gets a misleading impression of originality. Lapanje's contribution hardly meets the conditions and ideas of a scientific review paper as it has been qualified by the reviewer, or original scientific paper as cathegorised in COBISS.
