Ultramafic xenoliths in the granite at Črna na Koroškem in Slovenia

Abstract

In marginal parts of thin granite sheet at Črna occur swarms of various basic magmatic enclaves forming an intrusion breccia. Also present are small ultramafic xenoliths which are petrographically described. They belong to amphibolized plagioclase-bearing peridotite. Its brown amphibole megacrysts are of metasomatic origin.
