Radiolarians from the Jurassic siltstone between Perbla and Tolminske Ravne

Abstract

In Jurassic siltstone beds exposed between Perbla and Tolminske Ravne 24 species of radiolarians were determined. On the basis of the stratigraphic position the siltstone and the underlying shales belong to Dogger and the lower part of Malm. The radiolarian species belong to the time interval from the Upper Callovian to the Lower Tithonian. Because the radiolarian assemblage is not well preserved, a more exact definition of the time interval is not possible.
