Quartz conglomerate from Paka near Velenje

Abstract

Upper Carboniferous beds of Orenburgian stage at Paka near Velenje in the Savinja Valley are intercalated with a lens of quartz conglomerate trending NNW—SSE. It is 650 meters long, 100—200 meters wide and up to 20 meters thick. A large sample 100 metric tons by weight was assayed in the Ruše Azot Factory. The quartz conglomerate coresponds well to metallurgical Processing.
