Heterastridium conglobatum Reuss, 1865 (?Hydrozoan) in the Norian Limestone of the Kamnik Alps (Slovenia, NW Yugoslavia)

Abstract

Near the site Bivak pod Grintovcem in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps a sample of light grey limestone was found with many ? hydrozoan remains of the Norian genus Heterastridium. The fossil belongs to the species H. conglobatum Reuss, 1865, and it presents the first finding of this species in Slovenia. The rock is biosparitic limestone filled with radial cement.
