Abstract

The author maintains that the structure of the Sovič hill above Postojna with its surroundings is structurally a repetition of the structure of the Nanos, Hrušica and Trnovski gozd mountains. Thus the overthrust of Sovič is a miniature pendant of the Hrušica and Trnovski gozd nappe in the sense of the overthrust structure of the Outer Dinarides of southwest Slovenia, as presented earlier (Placer, 1981).
