Abstract

With investigations of Miocene representatives of the Turridae family in Slovenian localities 23 distinct species and subspecies were established. They belong to four different subfamilies Turrinae, Cryptoconinae, Clavatulinae and Mangeliinae. The richest localities of turrids in Slovenia are in narrower surroundings of Šentjernej in Lower Carniola. The marls and sandy marls with turrids and other macro- and microfauna are of Badenian age.
