Abstract

Ferdinand Seidl wrote in 1929 the treatise on an important tectonic unit in the Julian Alps - the Slatna plate. Along with scientific interest, this work is characteristic also for Seidl’ s manner of writing, his language, his instructive style in describing geologic phenomena, and his fast accepting new geologic concepts.
