In the Ravne area (north Slovenia), tourmalines from the pegmatite and the metapelites were studied. All of the examinated tourmalines are members of the schorldravite solid solution series. Most of the tourmalines show optical zoning. Electron microprobe analyses indicate Chemical zoning, with low Ca, Mg and Ti within optically distinct core with respect to the rim, for the pegmatite tourmalines, and low Fe, Na, Ti and high Al, Mg, Ca and Mn within optically distinct core with respect to the rim, for the metapelite tourmalines.Downloads
