Abstract

In the central Slovenia, reversed beds of Carboniferous-Permian clastic rocks occur localy in wider extension. Till now this phenomenon has been observed only more or less directly under predominantly carbonate Mesozoic rocks. Therefrom the presumption is made that this structural feature is connected to the detachment zone of the NE part of External Dinarides, which represent the source of their nappe structure. Thereby Carboniferous- Permian clastic rocks act as a soft bed. Based upon this the possibility exists that beds of older Palaeozoic underly Carboniferous-Permian clastic rocks of the Ljubljana basin. Unfortunately, LK-1/88 borehole stuck within the Carboniferous-Permian beds 1801 m deep.
