ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Aims and Scope
Geologija is a central Slovenian scientific geological journal with a 60 year history and tradition. It has an international advisory board. In journal publish Slovenian and foreign authors. Contributions cover following scientific fields: regional geology, stratigraphy, paleontology, sedimentology, petrology, mineralogy, mineral deposits, hydrogeology, environmental protection, geochemistry, geohazards, seismology, geoinformatics and closely related areas of research.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by at least two reviewers. When submitting their paper, authors should recommend at least three reviewers. However, the editorial office retains the sole right to choose the reviewer for a particular manuscript.
The journal is published twice a year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports global exchange of knowledge.
This journal does not charge article processing charges (APCs) or submission charges.
Geologija applies the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ license to works we publish. Under this license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their content, but allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute and/or copy the content as long as the original authors and source are cited. No permission is required from the authors or the publisher.
